How to convert PDF to JPG

JPG is already selected as the output format on this page, so converting takes just a few clicks.

  1. 1

    Select your PDF files

Drag one or more PDFs onto the converter or click Choose files. A ZIP archive full of PDFs works too.

  2. 2

    Check the page previews

Each page becomes a thumbnail. Remove blank or unwanted pages, rotate sideways pages and drag pages into the order you want.

  3. 3

    Export as JPG

Click Export Images (ZIP). To change the format later, open Export & Settings → Images (ZIP).

  4. 4

    Unzip and use your images

Open the downloaded ZIP to find one JPG per page, numbered in order and ready to share, upload or insert into other documents.

Convert multiple PDFs to JPG at once

This PDF to JPG converter is built for batches. Select several PDF files together, or drop a ZIP archive that contains them, and every page of every document is converted to a separate JPG in one go.

Pages stay grouped by document, and the JPG files are numbered with the source file name and original page number (for example 03_invoice_p1.jpg), so a folder of hundreds of images is still easy to sort.

  • No limit on the number of PDFs
  • ZIP and CBZ archives accepted as input
  • Add more files at any time without starting over
  • All JPGs delivered in a single ZIP download

Why convert a PDF to JPG?

PDF is excellent for printing and preserving a document's layout, but it is not always convenient. Many websites, social networks and chat apps accept only images, and a PDF has to be downloaded and opened before anyone can see it.

JPG is the most widely supported image format in the world. Every phone, computer, browser and photo app can display it instantly, and its efficient compression keeps file sizes small. That's useful when you are emailing pages, uploading to a form with a size limit, or posting on Instagram or WhatsApp.

If your pages are mostly text, line drawings or charts and you need the crispest possible edges, consider our PDF to PNG converter instead.

Tips for the best JPG results

  • Remove pages before exporting. Deleting covers, blank pages and appendices keeps your ZIP small and saves sorting later.
  • Fix the orientation first. Scanned pages are often sideways; rotate them in the editor so the images come out upright.
  • Need just one page? Use the download button on that page's thumbnail to save it as a single JPG.
  • Working with huge files? Convert very large PDFs one at a time on devices with limited memory, such as older phones. See converting PDF to JPG on iPhone and Android.
  • Keep the original. JPG is an image format, so text in the output is no longer selectable. Keep your PDF if you may need to copy text later.

PDF to JPG: frequently asked questions

Is this PDF to JPG converter free?

Yes. You can convert as many PDFs to JPG as you like for free, with no account, no watermark and no daily limit.

How do I convert multiple PDF files to JPG?

Select all the PDF files at once in the file picker (or drag them onto the drop zone together), then click Export Images (ZIP). Every page of every PDF is saved as a JPG inside one ZIP file.

What resolution are the JPG images?

Pages are rendered at up to twice their original size. A standard A4 page becomes an image of roughly 1190 × 1684 pixels (about 144 DPI) and a US Letter page roughly 1224 × 1584 pixels, which is sharp on screens and suitable for most everyday printing.

Will converting to JPG reduce the quality?

JPG uses lossy compression, so tiny details can soften slightly. MyImageNinja saves JPG files at a high quality setting (around 90%), so the difference is hard to see in normal use. For pixel-sharp text and diagrams, choose PNG instead.

Can I convert only some pages of a PDF to JPG?

Yes. Delete the pages you don't want before exporting, or use the download button on an individual page to save just that page as a JPG.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. The converter runs in modern mobile browsers such as Safari and Chrome. On iPhone, the downloaded ZIP is saved to the Files app, where you can open it to see the images. Phones have less memory than computers, so convert very large PDFs in smaller batches.
