How to convert PDF to PNG
PNG is preselected on this page. Here is the complete process from PDF to a folder of PNG files.
-
1
Add one or more PDFs
Drop your files onto the converter or click Choose files. You can mix several PDFs, ZIP archives and images.
-
2
Edit the page list
Reorder pages by dragging, rotate them in 90° steps, select several pages at once or delete the ones you don't need.
-
3
Export PNG images
Click Export Images (ZIP), or open Export & Settings → Images (ZIP) and confirm that PNG is selected.
-
4

Your download contains one PNG per page. File names include the page number and source document, so nothing gets mixed up.
Batch convert PDF to PNG
Need PNGs from a whole set of documents? Add multiple PDF files at once, or a ZIP archive of them, and every page is converted to its own PNG image in a single batch.
Before exporting you can reorder pages across documents, rotate sideways scans and remove pages you don't need. The PNG files are numbered in the order shown, so the output matches what you see.
- Multiple PDFs in one batch
- One PNG per page, numbered in order
- No file-count or page limits
- Processed in your browser, not uploaded
When PNG is the better choice
PNG stores images with lossless compression: once a page has been turned into pixels, saving it as PNG does not throw away any further detail. JPG, by contrast, discards information to achieve smaller files, which can leave faint "halos" around sharp edges.
That makes PNG a strong choice for pages made of text, tables, charts, technical drawings, slides and screenshots: content with flat colours and hard edges. It is also the safer format if you plan to edit the images further, because re-saving a PNG never adds new compression artefacts.
The trade-off is size: PNG files are usually several times larger than JPGs. For photo-heavy pages or when you need small files for email, use the PDF to JPG converter.

PDF to PNG: frequently asked questions
Is this PDF to PNG converter free?
Yes. Converting PDF to PNG is completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many files you convert.
Can I convert multiple PDF files to PNG at once?
Yes. Select several PDFs together or drop a ZIP archive. Every page of every document is exported as a PNG, and all of them are delivered in a single ZIP file.
Can I convert a multi-page PDF into separate PNG files?
Yes. Every page becomes its own PNG file. All files are delivered together in one ZIP archive and numbered in the order shown in the editor.
Why are PNG files larger than JPG files?
PNG keeps every pixel exactly as it is, while JPG discards detail that is hard for the eye to notice. That precision makes PNG files bigger, especially for pages with photographs or gradients.
Will the PNG images have a transparent background?
No. PDF pages are rendered on a white background, the same way they look when printed, so the resulting PNG images have a solid white background.
Is there a limit on file size or number of pages?
MyImageNinja does not impose page limits. Because everything runs on your device, the practical limit depends on how much memory your browser can use. If a very large batch slows down, split it into smaller groups.
