MyImageNinja respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. This page explains how to notify us of alleged copyright infringement under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA") and similar laws in other countries.
1. We do not host user files
Our converters run entirely in each visitor's browser. Files that people convert are never uploaded to, stored on or distributed from our servers, so we have no copy of them and no ability to remove them. If you believe someone has misused one of our tools to copy your work, please contact the person or website that is distributing the infringing copy.
Copyright notices we can act on therefore relate to material published on the Website itself, such as text, images or other content on our pages.
2. Filing a copyright infringement notice
If you believe material on myimageninja.com infringes your copyright, send a written notice to contact@myimageninja.com with the subject line "DMCA Notice". To be valid, your notice should include:
- a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorised to act on their behalf;
- identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed;
- identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, including the exact URL(s) on our Website, with enough detail for us to locate it;
- your contact information, including your name, postal address, telephone number and email address;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
We review every complete notice and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the material and inform you of the outcome.
3. Counter-notification
If material you provided to us was removed and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to the same address containing:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal;
- a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification;
- your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court for your address and will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notice.
4. Misrepresentations
Under 17 U.S.C. ยง 512(f), any person who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages. If you are unsure whether material infringes your rights, please seek legal advice before sending a notice.
